In the wake of the COVID-19 epidemic in early 2021, the National Hockey League got creative with its annual outdoor games. The NHL Outdoors at Lake Tahoe was a series of two outdoor regular season games, held on the weekend of February 20–21, 2021. Both games were played without fans at a rink on the 18th fairway of the Edgewood Tahoe Resort in Stateline, Nevada, on the south shore of Lake Tahoe. In the second game, on Feb 21st, titled Honda NHL Outdoors Sunday, the Philadelphia Flyers squared off against the Boston Bruins, with the Original Six squad dominant in a 7-3 victory. Sharpshooter David Pastrnak lit the lamp for a hat-trick plus one, netting four goals while wearing this reverse retro Boston Bruins jersey. Photo-matched to Getty 1303393989 (reference only, image does not accompany lot), this Adidas jersey is bright yellow and bears the familiar spoked-B crest across the chest. Throwback-style bear-logo patch is on each sleeve above the number 88 in black-on-white tackle twill; name is on a plate above the rear number in same style. Adidas size 56 labeling is printed into the collar, MeiGray 2020-21 season patch T01876 is inside rear tail, Adidas 100% polyester tag is sewn on inside seam. Not only does this represent an offering from one of the NHL's brightest stars - from one of the league's top teams - but Pastrnak was the only player to wear the same jersey for the entire game (players normally wear a different one for each period), making this a one-of-a-kind opportunity. Comes with MeiGray LOA.
