Brooklyn Dodgers ticket stub issued for a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates on September 30, 1956, in which Jackie Robinson made his final regular-season appearance and also hit his final regular-season home run. Graded VG 3 by PSA. This is one of only three examples of this ticket stub graded at this level by PSA, with just five graded higher (out of a total population of twenty-seven). Robinson did not announce his retirement from baseball until the following year, so no one in attendance that day realized it would be the last regular season game of his career. (Robinson played in the World Series that year and also took part in the Dodgers' post-season tour of Japan.) Robinson's one hit in the game was his tenth home run of the season, which helped lead the Dodgers to an 8-6 victory. The ticket stub measures 1.25x2.75".
