Presented is a 1960s Jack Twyman signed original photo taken at the same photoshoot as the one in which the photo for Hall of Famer Twyman's 1960-61 Kahn's card image was taken; we can tell by the background and high socks. Twyman was a 6'6" small forward who played 11 NBA seasons, all for the Rochester/Cincinnati Royals. A 6-time NBA All-Star, Twyman averaged 19.2 PPG and 6.6 TRB in the NBA. When his Cincinnati Royals teammate, Hall of Famer Maurice Stokes, suffered paralysis from the effects of a fall to the court in the Royals' last regular season game in 1958, Twyman helped Stokes by eventually becoming his legal guardian and raising money for Stokes' care with an annual NBA summer All-Star game. After his playing career, Twyman became a broadcaster, and he passed away in 2011. The NBA has an annual award, the Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award, named after Twyman and Stokes. Twyman signed beautifully, 9/10, in black ink. The 8x10" black & white photo has been encapsulated and PSA/DNA certified as Type I AUTHENTIC, and the autograph has been PSA certified as well. On the back is a WM R. Whitteker Photography stamp. The photo is in excellent condition and has a crystal-clear image.
