Displayed is a Dick Bosman Baltimore Orioles "Turn Back the Clock" signed game used away jersey worn only in one game, on 6/19/93 in Cleveland, against the Indians. As was frequently the custom in the Major Leagues at this time, "Turn Back the Clock" jerseys were issued and only worn in one game. Bosman was a right-handed starting pitcher who spent 11 years in the Major Leagues: Washington Senators (1966-71); Texas Rangers (1972-73); Cleveland Indians (1973-75); Oakland Athletics (1975-76). His lifetime record was 82-85, with a 3.67 ERA. Bosman's best season was in '69, when he went 14-5 with Washington, and led the AL in ERA, at 2.19. The 6'2" hurler threw his best game on July 19, 1974, when he no-hit the Cleveland Indians. He was the pitching coach for the Baltimore Orioles when he wore this jersey as the Baltimore pitcher, Fernando Valenzuela lost 3-0 to Cleveland. The jersey shows Orioles in black script with orange trim across the chest. The jersey's hard-to-find style features a "wrap-around" capital "O" as the first letter in 'Orioles" with the letter "O" wrapping around half-again its circumference. Six silver-colored buttons go down the front. The lower left outside tail shows three tags: 1) A Russell Athletic manufacturer's tag; 2) Diamond Collection size 44; 3) 100% polyester. The right sleeve has a "Russell" patch. The back has 17 in black sewn-on numerals. Bosman signed the jersey, as "Dick Bosman" using black ink from a fine-tip marker and writing in neat, large script. The signed jersey is in EXCELLENT condition.
