The first 2005 Orioles game Casanova played in was on Sept. 19th at the Toronto Blue Jays. He had one at bat, failing to get a hit, and recorded a putout as a catcher. In the Sept. 20th game at Boston, Casanova again caught an inning and did not bat. He had two putouts as a catcher. For the 2005 season, Casanova batted .182, with a home run and eight RBIs. The jersey has "Orioles" on the chest, in sewn-on orange script with black trim. Below the team's name is 57 in sewn-on orange numerals with black trim. The left sleeve has an Orioles logo and a Majestic manufacturer's patch. The left outside has an MLB Authentic Majestic manufacturer's tag and a size 48 tag. Six silver-gray buttons run down the jersey front. The back outside neck has an MLB tag. CASANOVA is sewn on the top of the back, in orange block letters with black trim.
