Displayed is a 1994 replica Steve Young twice twice-signed San Francisco 49ers authentic jersey. Young played 15 seasons of NFL football. A star quarterback at BYU, Young played his first two NFL seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1985-86). He played the rest of his NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers (1987-99). After a long apprenticeship backing up Joe Montana, Young went on to become a 3-time Super Bowl winner, a 2-time AP MVP, a 7-time Pro Bowl selection, and a Super Bowl MVP. He passed for 33,121 yards in his regular-season career, with 232 touchdown passes. In addition, he was an elusive, scrambling runner. The red, mesh jersey has a tag on the front that indicates the jersey is manufactured by Wilson, tailored exclusively for NFL Pro Line. Under the above mentioned tag is a size "46" tag. On the front is a sewn-on NFL logo, at the neck. On the left chest is an NFL 75th Anniversary patch. There is a Wilson logo sewn on each sleeve. The chest has a sewn-on Number 8, in white with black trim. In the back nameplate is YOUNG, in white sewn-on letters. The back has a sewn-on number 8, in white with black trim. The jersey is signed and personalized on the front and back numerals in 8/10 black Sharpie. On the front Young wrote, "To Mikey/my friend/Steve Young." On the back numeral, Young wrote, "To Mikey/my friend!/Steve Young 49ers." The signed and personalized jersey exhibits a few loose thread ends, but is in overall excellent condition.
