Wilson "A2000" pro-model right-handed fielder's glove used by former Major League pitcher Jose Lima, circa 1999. The name "Jose Lima" is factory embroidered in black stitch on the exterior thumb. The glove, with "dual-hinge" pocket, displays heavy wear indicative of extended use, but the leather remains supple and all the lacing is intact. Lima, who was one of the game's most flamboyant personalities, enjoyed his greatest success in the Majors during his four full seasons with the Houston Astros from 1997 to 2000. In 1999 Lima posted his only twenty-win season, finishing the year with a 21-10 record in helping lead the Astros to a first-place finish in the National League Central Division. In his thirteen Major League seasons, Lima also played with the Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, New York Mets, and Los Angeles Dodgers. He died prematurely of heart problems at the age of thirty-seven in 2010.
