Game-used baseball from the 1990 World Series between the Cincinnati Reds and Oakland A's originates from the collection of Reds equipment manager Bernie Stowe. Official 1990 World Series (Vincent) ball shows nice use with bright red stampings and World Series logo. While we're unsure as to exactly the game in which this ball was used, it was from one of the two games played in Cincy, either Game 1 on October 16, or Game 2 the following night. Oakland entered the series as heavy favorites, defending their championship earned in a 4-game sweep over the San Francisco Giants in '89. The series was indeed brief but not as expected, as the Reds dealt Oakland a taste of its own medicine in a decisive 4-game series sweep.
