Jason Giambi was a slugging first baseman/designated hitter who played 20 Major League seasons (1995-2001): Oakland Athletics (1995-2001 & 2009), New York Yankees (2002-2008), Colorado Rockies (2009-2012) Cleveland Indians (2013-14). Presented is a circa 2003 Jason Giambi New York Yankees signed game used Louisville Slugger bat. Giambi used his 6'3", 240 lbs. size to generate great power. His left-handed swing worked well at Yankee Stadium, with its short right field. In his Major League career, Giambi batted .277, with 2010 hits and 440 home runs. Jason was The AL MVP in 2000. In 2003, Giambi batted .333, led the AL in RBIs (137), and crushed 43 homers, and he was a key component of the Yankee pennant winners. The bat is uncracked. Giambi's number (25) is written on the knob in black marker, by an unknown hand. The bat shows light use, with some seam marks. The model G174 bat has a shaved handle and a hollowed-out barrel end. Giambi signed the bat on the barrel, using blue marker. Also, in blue marker, under Giambi's signature and written by an unknown hand, is "game used." Etched on the barrel is TPS, the MLB logo, Genuine G174, Giambi's facsimile signature, and New York Yankees.
