Pair of handwritten notes by John F. Kennedy, 35th President of the United States. Each note is scripted in pencil on an unlined sheet that bears the letterhead "From the Desk of John F. Kennedy. One note reads "Peace Corps./Providing Teachers for/Nationalized School." The other sheet reads "Food distribution." While neither sheet is dated, Kennedy established the Peace Corps during his first year as President, so it is likely both were written by Kennedy as President. Each sheet originates from the collection of legendary John F. Kennedy collector Robert L. White and the pair are accompanied by a copy of an LOA from White attesting to their authenticity (the LOA is for a larger collection of handwritten notes sold by White, of which these are two). Each sheet (3.5x5"; visible dimensions) displays a few small areas of dark staining along the top; otherwise, both are in apparent Excellent to Mint condition. Matted and framed together with a modern photographic print of John F. Kennedy. Total dimensions: 12.5x19.5". Full LOA from PSA.
