Collection of three 1914 Royal Tailor album pages, each featuring either a prominent ballplayer or actor. The Royal Tailor company is best remembered today for its enormous hardcover salesman's albums. What set the company's albums apart from its competitors was its use of illustrations featuring famous ballplayers and celebrities as models for its various garments. The models featured on the three offered pages, respectively, are Hall of Fame pitchers Walter Johnson and Eddie Plank, and famed comic actor Eddie Foy. Each page (approximately 19x21.5") has been mounted (by means of tape on the reverse) and matted (Plank 23.25x26" and Johnson 21x24"), with the Foy piece also framed to total dimensions of 22.25x25". The pages display general edge wear, but the visible portions are Excellent to Mint in their overall appearances. The size and/or weight of this lot will necessitate an increased shipping charge.
