This grouping of 1950’s Topps football sets includes a ’51 ?Magic set, ’56 set, ’57 set, ’58 set, and a 1959 set. The ’51 Magic set averages EX to EX-MT. All but three of the cards have the backs scratched off. The ’56 Topps set averages 15% NRMT, 65% EX to EX-MT, and 20% VG to VG-EX. The ’57 set is highlighted by a quartet of rookies: Berry (NRMT), Starr (pinhole on obverse, o/w VG-EX), Hornung (G-VG), and Unitas (VG-EX). Other than the major rookies the set averages EX+ to NRMT. The ’58 set features Jim Brown’s rookie (EX-MT+). The set averages EX with some better/lesser. The ’59 set is highlighted by Jim Brown’s 2nd year (VG-EX to EX). The set averages VG-EX to EX.
