Joe Montana is a Hall of Fame quarterback who won four Super Bowls. Presented is a non-traditional football memento - a Montana credit card and six signed blank checks, with the "Joseph C. Montana" stamped on each check. Montana played 15 seasons in the NFL: 1979-90 and '92 for the San Francisco 49ers and 1993-94 for the Kansas City Chiefs. He completed 3,409 passes out of 5,391 attempts in the NFL regular season, leading the NFL in completion accuracy for five seasons. The offered credit card is a Merrill Lynch Visa card - titled on the card as a Merrill Lynch Cash Management Account. The card measures approx. 2.1x3.4". It was issued to "Joe Montana" and it was valid through 3/1985. The card is in excellent condition. It is not signed by Montana and appears not to have been used. Also included in the offering is a group of six Joe Montana blank checks. They are Bank One of Columbus, Ohio checks. Across the top is machine printed "Merrill Lynch Cash Management Account" and "JOSEPH C. MONTANA, JR." The checks measure 2.75x6". Montana, using blue ink from a ballpoint pen, has signed each of the six checks as "Joseph C. Montana Jr." These unused checks are in excellent condition. Both the credit card and the blank checks come from the Montana Collection.
