Derek Jeter, the last Team Captain of the New York Yankees, earned the moniker “Mr. November” in the fall of 2001 when he helped the Yankees defeat the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 4 of that year’s World Series. Playing at home on October 31, and trailing two games to one in the series, the Yankees battled back to tie the game in the bottom half of the ninth, 3-3. After getting the Diamondbacks out in the top of the 10th, the Yankees came back to try and tie the series.

After two quick outs, Jeter strode to the plate. Facing Byung-Hyun Kim, the Yankees Captain endured an excruciating long nine-pitch at-bat. On that fateful ninth pitch, as the clock struck four minutes past midnight, Jeter lofted a fly ball to right that had just enough on it to clear the right field porch. The Yankees won, 4-3, and Jeter was suddenly being called Mr. November. This lot offers a single-signed OML (Robert D. Manfred Jr.) Rawlings baseball that Jeter autographed on the sweet spot and then added the inscription “Mr. November” right below it. Comes with an MLB hologram attached.
