Official American League (Harridge) ball signed in black fountain pen by the following nineteen members of the 1935 New York Yankees: Gehrig (sweet spot; signature enhanced), Lazzeri, Combs (coach), Dickey, Gomez, Sewell (coach), Rolfe, Deshong, Hill, Jorgens, Duke, Hoag, Murphy, Crosetti, Chapman, Selkirk, Glenn, Walker, and Melton. The signatures are uniform in grade, averaging 7/10. This ball was most likely signed during spring training, as both Cliff Melton and Marvin Duke were not on the club's official roster in 1935, but both were members of a Yankees minor-league affiliate that year. The ball has been coated with a layer of protective shellac and displays a small stain on the ball label; otherwise it remains in Excellent condition.
