Interesting team-signed baseball with international significance. This dates from the 1968 exhibition tour in which Los Diablos Rojos del Mexico (the Mexico Red Devils) stunned the mighty New York Yankees in a 5-3 win. The Liga Oficial ball displays moderate-to heavy toning throughout from age and handling, but the 12 signatures present nicely, with added inscriptions of "Club Mexico" "Rojos" and 1968. Of course, this was not one of the Bronx Bombers' best eras, as they finished with an 83-79 record in 1968, but the prestige of the Yanks was global in nature and in a country where "el futbol" (soccer) is "el rey" (king), this stunning upset was a seminal moment for the sport south of the border. Comes with PSA LOA.
