1980 vintage professional wrestling broadside heralds matches at a local high school, including a "pre-Hulkamania" Hulk Hogan. Card stock poster measuring 17x26" is white with red print, advertising a card at Brearley High School in Kenilworth, NJ, on March 27. This dates from Hogan's early years, during which he was a "bad guy" (heel), and he is actually listed second on the "Double Main Event," taking on "good guy" (face) Dominic DeNucci; the top match on the card featured Ken Patera vs. Pat Patterson for the Inter-Continental Championship. Some waviness is evident to the card stock with areas of edge wear and light creasing, however there are no pinholes, tape residue, or other signs of having been posted, as is common with broadsides of this type. Conjuring images of smoke-filled gyms that hosted boxing and wrestling cards, this is a great look from the years just before Hulk Hogan was turned into an international sensation, leading up to the first Wrestlemania in 1985, which ushered in the modern era of sports entertainment.
