Beautiful real photo postcard signed by champion figure skater and actress Sonja Henie. Card measures 4x5.75" and the front has a sepia toned image of the three-time Olympic Champion posing in costume on skates. Henie has signed just to the right of her right foot in 8/10 black fountain ink. Back is blank and unmarked except for the usual printed postcard lines. In addition to her Olympic Gold Medals in 1928, '32, and '36, she dominated the sport with a string of ten straight 1st place finishes at the World Championships spanning from 1927-36. She was able to parlay her grace, athleticism, and charisma into a career on the silver screen, as she signed a long-term contract with 20th Century Fox in 1936, and it should be noted that, though the card is undated, this is from the period in which she was a competitive skater.
