Vintage 1993 Type I photo of New York Giants slugger Mel Ott. Black & white photo has been trimmed to 5x7" with the left border missing, nice head-and-shoulders image of Ott in his road uniform. A pinhole and a couple of small tears not affecting the central image are present, as well as some corner creasing. Back has a piece of wire service copy affixed identifying the subject along with the date of 9/23/33; stamps from World Wide Photos, Cleveland Public Library, date stamp of Sep 26 1933, ID label, and editors marks are also on back. The Hall of Famer belted 511 round trippers in his career and remains one of just 28 players in history to reach the exclusive 500-home run plateau.
