Rare Cincinnati Reds full ticket issued for the opening game of the 1974 season against the Atlanta Braves on April 4th in which Hank Aaron hit his 714th career home run, tying Babe Ruth for the all-time record. Graded VG 3 by PSA. This is one of only two examples of this full ticket graded at this level by PSA, with just seven graded higher out of a total of thirteen listed in the PSA Population Report. The scarcity of this full ticket is not surprising, because the game was played before the largest opening day crowd (52,124) in Reds history. The draw of course, was Aaron, who entered the season with 713 home runs, one shy of Ruth's record. Aaron did not make the crowd wait long for his historic record-tying blast, homering on his first swing of the game off of Reds starter Jack Billingham. The ticket (5x1.375") displays a tiny depression underneath the Reds logo and is otherwise Near Mint in its overall appearance.
