Rare and historic Brooklyn Dodgers scorecard, issued for an exhibition game between the Brooklyn Dodgers and Montreal Royals on April 10, 1947, in which Jackie Robinson made his final minor league appearance before joining the Brooklyn Dodgers. The Montreal Royals and Brooklyn Dodgers were scheduled to play two exhibition games against each other on April 9th and 10th at Ebbets Field in 1947. This was to be Robinson's first appearance in a game in Brooklyn. Unfortunately, rain cancelled the April 9th game. In the sixth inning of the April 10th game, Dodgers president branch Rickey issued a statement to the press box reading "The Brooklyn Dodgers today purchased the contract of Jackie Roosevelt Robinson from the Montreal Royals. He will report immediately."

The offered program is from that historic exhibition game and features Robinson's preprinted name in the Montreal lineup batting second and playing first base. The program is not scored, but, as previously noted, because the April 9th game was never played, this program can only be from the April 10th game, which was Robinson's final minor league game. Robinson made his official Major League debut just five days later on April 15th against the Boston Braves. The program (6.75x9.75") displays professional restoration to some splits and tiny tears along the spine, and a small corner chip in the lower left of the back cover. Aside from these minor condition anomalies, the program displays an overall Excellent appearance.
