Presented is a 1960 Kahn's Weiners baseball card for slugging White Sox first baseman Ted Kluszewski. Known as "Klu," Ted was a 6'2", 225-pound muscle man well before weightlifting created numerous muscle men in MLB. Klu played 15 Major League seasons: Cincinnati Reds (1947-57), Pittsburgh Pirates (1958-59), Chicago White Sox (1959-60), Los Angeles Angels (1961). The left-handed hitter hit .298 lifetime, with 279 home runs. Kluszewski led the National league in home runs (49), and RBIs (141) in '54, while batting .326. From 1953-55, Klu hit at least 40 home runs in each season. He liked to cut off his sleeves to either: provide more room for his powerful arms to swing, and/or show off those powerful biceps. In fact, the Cincinnati Reds organization, during Klu's stay with the team, for a while adopted sleeveless jerseys for the entire squad. The 3.25x4" premium, black and white card has a facsimile Kluszewski autograph. The front reads, "Compliments of Kahn's/"THE WEINER THE WORLD AWAITED." The card back has some vital facts about Kluszewski, and his detailed batting stats. The card has been encapsulated and PSA graded VG 3.
