Card stock backing measures 6.5x9.25", with an oval image measuring roughly 5" across by 5.75" top-to-bottom. A slot measuring 2.5x0.5" has been opened at the bottom, and a cut signature of "J Q Adams" in black fountain ink stands stark and incredibly bold, grading a perfect PSA GEM MT 10. Beneath the cut, engraved on the original card, is "The Last Portrait taken from life" above the mark from Johnson, Fry, and Co Publishers, NY. The son of the nation's 2nd President, John Adams, John Quincy served from 1825-29, after spending eight years as the US Secretary of State. He passed away in 1848 at age 80.
