Presented is a David Wright signed New York Mets game used Louisville Slugger bat. Wright played his entire Major League career with the New York Mets (2004-2016 & 2018). Wright batted .296 lifetime, with 242 home runs. He was a 2-time Silver Slugger Award winner and a 2-time Gold Glove recipient. He was a 7-time NL All-Star and was a key part of the Mets' 2015 pennant winners. Wright's career was affected by his spinal stenosis, a narrowing of the spinal column. Eventually, the condition kept Wright from playing at all in the 2017 season. After a grueling rehab, Wright, mainly as a gesture to him and his fans, was permitted to play in two games at the end of the 2018 season as a sort of farewell appearance, prior to his imminent retirement. The signed bat has the number "5" written in black marker, by an unknown hand, on the knob. Etched on the barrel of the bat: "Genuine 113/David Wright New York Mets." Also, on the barrel is TPX, the MLB logo, and a cert. sticker #A44893. The bat exhibits great use, with pine tar residue on the barrel, ball marks, and paint smears. The bat is 34" long and it weighs 30.75 ounces. Wright signed the bat, and added his number 5, on the barrel using a black marker. The bat comes with a PSA LOA for autograph.
