In 1993, San Francisco 49ers and eventual Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice led the NFL with 1,503 receiving yards and 15 touchdown receptions. The Mississippi Valley State alum would go on to finish his prolific, 20-year NFL career with 1,549 receptions, 197 touchdowns including 10 rushing TDs, 22,895 receiving yards, and a first-round induction into Canton in 2010. This lot features a circa ‘93 Jerry Rice-signed San Francisco 49ers home game jersey. The red Wilson mesh jersey includes the official, proper Wilson manufacturer’s tag on the front left tail that reads: "Tailored Exclusively for PRESTIGE TEAMS by Wilson” with a size 46 tag adhered to it. The official NFL logo patch can be found embroidered at the base of the v-neck. Rice’s uniform number 80 is sewn on the front in white tackle twill measuring 9.5” tall. RICE is sewn across the back shoulders in white tackle twill over a red nameplate. His uniform number also appears on the reverse in white tackle twill numerals measuring 11.5” tall. A white Wilson logo is sewn onto the left sleeve only next to Rice’s uniform number 80 which appears in white tackle twill numerals measuring three inches tall on either sleeve. Rice has signed the jersey vertically in black marker across the number “0” on the front. Though there are some loose threads showing on the sleeve numbers as well as the back nameplate, this jersey can not be labeled as game worn. Includes LOA from PSA for the signature only.
