Presented is an NBA Official Street Ball signed by LeBron James and his teammates on the St. Vincent's-St. Mary's Ohio State Championship Division II High School Team. The ball was signed in 2001. LeBron played four seasons of basketball at Akron's St. Vincent's-St. Mary's, averaging a career 29 PPG, with 8.3 RPG and 5.7 APG. In LeBron's four seasons of play at St. Vincent's-St. Mary's, his team won three State Championships - in 2000, 2001, and 2003. The team was the State Runner-up in 2002. LeBron James signed his name in black marker, as did his teammates. LeBron's high school era signature, very different from his signature that developed over his professional career, is located just to the left of the "SPALDING" imprint on the ball. Those signing the basketball include: Sian Cotton, Willie McGee, Dru Joyce III and Romeo Travis, all long-time friends of LeBron. "King James" was the first pick of the 2003 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He is a 4-time NBA Champion, accomplished with three different teams: Miami Heat (2), Cleveland Cavaliers (1), and Los Angeles Lakers (1). LeBron holds the record for the most career points in the NBA, and he is fourth in career assists. James is also a 4-time NBA MVP and a 4-time NBA Finals MVP. As the playing career of LeBron James nears its end, a LeBron signed basketball from his high school team takes on added significance. Blessed with great talent, James combined his natural skills with a sustained work ethic in practice and hard effort in games to reach his pinnacle. As King James himself said, "I treat it like every day was my last day with a basketball." Relatively soon, James will most likely retire, and this signed basketball makes an unusual remembrance of his playing career as he soared straight from high school to the NBA. LeBron and his his school teammates signed the ball with a black marker. The signed basketball is in excellent condition, and it comes with a PSA LOA.
