Though his life ended tragically early in an accident just a few days shy of his 29th birthday, Davey Moore certainly earned his share of accomplishments in the boxing ring. This tremendous lot represents his professional legacy. Included here are awards earned by the four-time Golden Gloves and Junior Middleweight Champion, highlighted by: a silver-plated mug from a US vs. London boxing meet; three small trophies, an assortment of medals, patches, and pins from various including Golden Gloves; and three sets of boxing gloves he used: 1) Gold Everlast model 2210. 2) Black Everlast model 2414. 3) Split pair of red gloves; the left is an Everlast model 2210, while the right is a Tuf-Wear. Similar but different styles. All show extensive use and all come with laces. To top it all off, we offer a pair of exquisite ring robes he wore in the ring: 1) Purple robe has white belt with Sensational Davey Moore embroidered on back in white letters. Dry clean only and size M tag in collar, nice use shown with slight bleeding of color onto the white belt 2) Red Everlast robe with white highlights and white belt; though much of the white trim appears pink, comparison to the collar and belt make clear that the red color has bled into the white. Everlast and size 38 tags on breast pocket, with the back being blank. Moore was WBA Light-Middleweight Champ until a brutal defeat at the stone hands of Roberto Duran halted his unbeaten streak.
