Displayed is a Notre Dame team multi-signed football of 27 Fighting Irish greats from circa 1940s. The signatures are on two panels of the football, mostly on the decorative white panel of the ball that shows an image of the Notre Dame Leprechaun and reads, "Notre Dame Fightin' Irish." The Reach (USA) football, with white laces, is designed to inflate to 13 pounds and measures approx. 11" in length. Signatures: 1943 Heisman Trophy winners Angelo Bertelli, a tailback and quarterback at Notre Dame who won the Heisman Trophy despite playing in only six games in 1943 before he was called to active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps; Johnny Lujack, a quarterback who was at Notre Dame in '43, then returned in '47, after his World War II service in the U.S. Navy, to win the Heisman. He later was an NFL star with the Chicago Bears. Plus, E. "Moose" Krause, a Notre Dame All-American in both basketball and football. He became the long-time Athletic Director at Notre Dame (1949-81). Plus, B. Crimmins, C. Miller, A. Lesko, F. Johnston, Z. O'Connor, T. Potter, A. Statuto, J. Connor, B. Livingston, C. Clatt, J. McGuirk, and more. The signatures were written in black ink from a fiber-tip marker. The signatures average 7 or 8/10. The offering comes with a PSA LOA.
