Official American League (Harridge) ball signed in black fountain pen by the following seven members of the circa 1932 New York Yankees: Babe Ruth (sweet spot), Lou Gehrig, Earl Combs, Bill Dickey, Herb Pennock, Tony Lazzeri, and George Pipgras. The signatures range from 4/10 to 6/10. As noted in the accompanying PSA LOA, while the Gehrig and Lazzeri signatures are authentic, both have been enhanced in an unknown hand. This ball dates to the narrow two-year 1932-1933 manufacturing period; however, all the signers were members of the New York Yankees during both of those two seasons, hence the circa 1932 year designation. The ball, which is moderately toned and displays a few light abrasions, has been mounted (by means of a screw) upon a vintage, circular wooden pedestal. A silver-colored band encircling the pedestal is engraved "World's Champions/N. Y. Yankees/1927." Either the engraving is in error, or the pedestal may have once displayed a 1927 team-signed ball, which has since been replaced with the current ball. The pedestal (6.5" in diameter; 4" high) is well worn, with numerous scratches to the metal band. Full LOA from PSA.
