Four rare minor league baseball jerseys are up for grabs in this colorful lot. Two of the jerseys - Salinas and Tulsa - are actually Major League road jerseys which were sent to the minors and reconditioned for game use. 1) Salinas - light blue top has team name screened across the chest (in the form of a crude patch covering the original logo), Wilson size 44 collar tag, "49 83" blue strip tag on bottom left, number 49 on front and back in blue-on-yellow. There is evidence of a nameplate having been removed. (Roy Thomas wore #49 for the Mariners in '83, though we can't conclusively say he wore this jersey). 2) Tulsa - reconditioned from Texas Rangers powder blue road uniform with red, white, and blue collar trim, team name across the chest of this pullover in tri-colored tackle twill. Jersey has strip tag on tail reading "47 75" and evidence of individual letters spelling out "GERNERT" having been removed from above the rear number 47. Dick Gernert played 11 MLB seasons before joining Texas as a scout/coach in 1975, making this a solid match. 3) Butte (Dodgers farm team) - road gray pullover, Rawlings size 46 collar tag, team name in script across the chest, #12 on front and back. 4) Wichita - clearly a Cincinnati Reds design in this gray pullover, which would date it to the 1984 Wichita Aeros. Wilson size 40 tag in collar. Team name across the chest with #2 on front-and-back in all red letters and numbers.
