Baseball signed by Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th President of the United States. Eisenhower has scripted his name in blue ink across the sweet spot, with the signature grading 8/10 overall. This ball was signed by Eisenhower in 1967, two years prior to his death, and is accompanied by a one-paged typed letter of provenance from Eisenhower himself. In his letter, dated September 8, 1967, and written on his personal letterhead, Eisenhower responds to a friend who had commented on the Eisenhower Presidential Library. He closes by writing "I have autographed and returned in the box you provided, the first edition of Waging Peace and the baseball you wanted signed. Maime sends her best wishes." It is signed simply "D. E." in blue ink. The ball, which has no visible manufacturing stampings, displays light toning, including a few small darker patches, and light abrasions. The letter (8.5x8.75") displays a horizontal fold. Full LOA from PSA (for the ball only).
