Original glass plate negative capturing a spectacular aerial view of the Polo Grounds, circa 1910. The image, taken from the vantage point high atop Coogan's Bluff, which overlooked the stadium, captures the entire stadium and much of the outlying area. Nearly all the outfield is visible, along with a small portion of the infield. A game is in progress and one can see a few of the players, as well as hundreds of spectators standing on the bluff taking advantage of the free view. The glass negative (8.5x6.5") displays numerous light scratches and surface blemishes, as well as small areas of emulsion loss along the perimeter. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive.
