Hall of Fame second baseman Ryne Sandberg posed for a "Heritage Series" baseball card in 1994, and this was the jersey and cap he posed in. It's a 1940 Chicago Cubs replica jersey that bears a Mitchell & Ness label and washing instructions tag in the tail, as well as Cooperstown Collection tagging. The front of the zipper-down vest shows the classic red and blue Cubs logo stitched on the left chest, health shield patch on the opposite side with royal blue piping. There's also a blue undershirt with Russell XL tag in the collar. The navy blue cap with old-style red "C" has a Cooperstown tag in the back, and the inner lining has a small tear next to the label. The 1994 Heritage Series was created by Leaf, Inc. and showcased eight big-league stars in classic old uniforms. Each piece is original and unaltered since Sandberg wore them.
