Rare Boston Celtics program issued for an exhibition game against the Philadelphia 76ers, held on October 6, 1979, at the Augusta Civic Center in Augusta, Maine. The program has been signed on the interior by Larry Bird (rookie season) and nine other Boston Celtics team members. The ten signatures featured in the program, all of which have been scripted in blue Sharpie on either the interior cover or first page, are those of Larry Bird, Tiny Archibald, Dave Cowens, Chris Ford, Cedric Maxwell, M. L. Carr, Don Chaney, Kevin Stacom, and Jeff Judkins. Bird's signature grades 6/10 overall, while the remainder grade 9/10 on average. The date "Oct 1979" is written on the cover in blue ink. The locale of the game is noted by the red-letter over-print on the front cover that reads in part "Sponsored by Sports Hall of Fame Inc., of Maine." This program originates from a former executive with the Maine Sports Hall of Fame and is accompanied by copies of the exhibition-game agreement between the organization and the Boston Celtics, as well as a financial statement from the game.
