"I think I can always shoot the 3s. I think I can shoot 3s when I am 60," said Dirk Nowitzki, a German-born player headed for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, and a player considered by many to be the greatest European born NBA player of all time. Displayed is a 2009 Dirk Nowitzki game worn Dallas Mavericks jersey that was worn by Dirk for one half in 19 different games, including: 1) Three double-doubles (2/4, 3/27, 4/15). 2) Feb. 7th - 750th career steal game and season high blocks game. 3) Apr. 8th - Playoff clinching game. 4) Two 40+ point games (2/7, 2/27). Nowitzki averaged a career 20.7 PPG, with 7.5 REB and was a 14-time All-Star, 12-time All-NBA player, 2006-07 MVP, 2010-2011 Finals MVP and led the Mavericks to the 2010-11 Championship. In addition, he was named to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team. The NBA logoman is sewn on the upper left chest. On the front is "DALLAS" in sewn on blue letters with gray trim. Below the team name is "41" in sewn on royal blue numerals with gray trim. On the lower outside tail is a size "54" tag, and a "Climate" tag. Adjacent is a 4+ tag and a "2007-2008" tag. Below the above-mentioned tags is a MeiGray Group tag (AM007739) that is registered in the NBA's Authentication Database, that reads, "NBA Game Worn 2008-2009 Season." On the back is a blue, with silver trim, "Dallas" star sewn on near the collar. Beneath the star is "NOWITZKI" in sewn on navy blue block letters. Beneath the name is "41" in sewn on royal blue numerals trimmed with silver.
