Joe Torre Adirondack pro-model ("129A") bat dating from the 1969-1970 manufacturing period. Graded GU 9 by PSA. The bat, which measures 35 inches and weighs 35 ounces, is not cracked and displays excellent use, including ball marks on the barrel. Torre's uniform number ("9") is written on the knob in vintage black marker. The Joe Torre blue-marker signature below the barrel stamping has been deemed non-authentic by PSA. A piece of clear tape has been applied over Torre's stamped facsimile signature on the barrel. Torre was a member of the Cardinals in 1969 and 1970, and those seasons represented two of his finest. Torre batted .289 with 18 home runs and 101 RBI in 1969. The following year he batted .325 with 21 home runs and 100 RBI. A former National League MVP and perennial All-Star during his eighteen-year career, Torre later enjoyed a long managerial career, winning four World Championships with the New York Yankees. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2014. Full LOA from PSA (GU 9) for the bat only.
