Hank Aaron H&B pro-model ("A99") bat dating from the 1969-1972 manufacturing period. Graded GU 8.5 by PSA. It should be noted, that of the 136 Hank Aaron pro-model bats listed in the PSA Population Report, only 34 have received a grade higher than GU 8.5. The bat, which measures 35 inches and weighs 33 ounces, is not cracked and displays excellent use throughout, including numerous rack marks. Aaron's uniform number ("44") is written on the knob in vintage black marker. (A black-marker inscription on the barrel reads "Best Wishes/Hank Aaron" but PSA/DNA has declined to provide an LOA for the signature.) An application of clear tape has been applied over the inscription and remnants of clear tape also appear on Aaron's stamped facsimile signature on the barrel. Although Aaron was a fifteen-year veteran entering the 1969 season, the four-year span 1969-1972 was an especially productive one for him. Aaron averaged 40 home runs and 102 RBI during that period, including career-high totals in home runs (47) and slugging percentage (.669) in 1971. Full LOA from PSA for the bat (GU 8.5).
