Outstanding San Francisco Giants hat game used circa early-mid-1960s attributed to the legendary Willie Mays. Cap is black, with button and traditional interlocking SF logo in orange; number 24 is written under the bill in black marker. Leather band has Tim McAuliffe manufacturer's tag stitched, KM Pro and "7" (size) are stamped on the band. Per the included LOA, the style is consistent with those used by the Giants during the 1960-67 period and attributes this as game worn by the Say Hey Kid. Mays' 660 home runs is still 6th on the all time list and his 12 Gold Glove awards secured his place in baseball history. Exceptional piece from one of the best to ever lace up the spikes.
