Chicago Cubs ticket stub issued for a game against the Brooklyn Dodgers on August 30, 1956, in which Jackie Robinson made his final appearance at Wrigley Field and also played his final game at second base. PSA has encapsulated the ticket and certified it as "Authentic." This is an exceedingly rare ticket stub and one of only two such examples listed in the PSA Population Report (both are certified as "Authentic"). Robinson went hitless in three at bats but did walk twice in the Dodgers 3-2 loss to the Cubs that day. At the time, Robinson had given no indication that he would retire after the season, so no one could have realized that he was playing his last game at Wrigley and at second base. That, no doubt, is the main reason for the rarity of the stub today. The ticket stub (1.25x2.75") remains in Excellent condition.
