Circa 1985 game used sneaker from Philadelphia 76ers Hall of Famer Julius Erving. White leather Converse All-Star is for the left foot, and has red manufacturer's logos on each side, red reinforcement at the top of the ankle, and "DR J" stamped on the outside in red. Converse All-Star tag is on front of tongue, no size tagging is evident. Tremendous use is evident throughout, with wear at the back/ankle, sweat stains, and all-around work to the leather. Signed in 6/10 blue ballpoint pen on left side, "To James from Julius Erving Dr. J #6." Though NBA records do not include stats from the ABA - in which Erving spent five electrifying seasons at the start of his career - his overall career total of 30,026 points would place him in the top 10 of all-time scorers. In 1985, despite his career nearing an end at age 34, the Doctor still registered over 20 points per contest. Comes with PSA LOA for autograph.
