Collection of four autograph-album sheets featuring, collectively, the signatures of twenty-six members of the legendary 1927 World Champion New York Yankees, considered by many to be the greatest team in baseball history. This is one of the most complete 1927 New York Yankees signature collections we have seen, as it includes twenty-three of the twenty-five players on the official roster that season, plus non-roster members Don Miller, Roy Chesterfield, and "Scratch" Buin. Also featured are the exceedingly rare signatures of Urban Shocker and Joe Giard, as well as Hall of Famers Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Herb Pennock, Tony Lazzeri, Earle Combs, and Waite Hoyt.

All the signatures have been boldly scripted in black fountain pen and grade 9/10 overall, with the exception of Pennock (slight water stain affects the signature). Sheet 1: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Earle Combs, Joe Giard, Ben Paschal, Bennie Bengough, Roy Morehart, Mike Gazella, Jules Wera, Cedric Durst, Roy Chesterfield, and Scratch Buin. Sheet 2: Urban Shocker, Herb Pennock, Waite Hoyt, George Pipgras, Bob Shawkey, Dutch Ruether, Don Miller, and Myles Thomas. Sheet 3: John Grabowski and Pat Collins. Sheet 4: Tony Lazzeri, Bob Meusel, Mark Koenig, and Joe Dugan.

As noted earlier, the signatures of both Urban Shocker and Joe Giard are rare and often missing from even advanced 1927 New York Yankees signature collections. Shocker suffered from a heart condition and died just one year later in 1928 at the age of thirty-seven. 1927 marked Joe Giard's only season in pinstripes and his final year in the Major Leagues. Also, his time in the Majors was brief (three years) and fairly uneventful, so he was not generally sought after by the small number of autograph collectors at the time. Giard also died fairly young at the age of fifty-seven in 1956.

Each sheet (6x4.25") displays three binder holes along the left border. The notation "New York Yankees World Champions 1927" or "New York Yanks World Champions 1927" is written on each sheet in black fountain pen (presumably by the original owner). One of the sheets (yellow), displays a small water stain along the base that affects the Pennock signature, otherwise all are in Excellent condition overall. Each sheet is accompanied by an individual LOA from PSA.
