1959 signed broadside poster heralding the Toledo, Ohio "Return Engagement by Popular Demand" of the one and only Harlem Globetrotters. Bright colors highlight this magnificent 14x22" piece, which included "The Sensational Wilt (The Stilt) Chamberlain" playing with "Abe Saperstein's Fabulous" Trotters. Wilt is one of four players illustrated in caricature, fittingly holding up Meadowlark Lemon, and Chamberlain boldly signed the bottom right corner in 9/10 blue marker. Back is blank and has paper loss at the edges from tape removal, none of which shows up on the front. There is some rounding and minor creasing along the edges with some very minor scattered stains; it is hard to imagine another specimen of this nature that has survived in better shape. Chamberlain's lone full season in the red, white, and blue was in 1958-59 as he left college after his junior year and the NBA was not allowed to draft players before their class graduated; Wilt did occasionally join the team during the off-season in future years. Comes with PSA LOA for autograph.
