From arguably the greatest sporting event of the 20th Century comes this handsome bright yellow promotional closed-circuit poster touting what would become the "Rumble in the Jungle," in which Muhammad Ali knocked out defending Heavyweight Champ George Foreman in Kinshasa, Zaire. This poster is for the originally scheduled fight date of Sept. 24, 1974. The fight was actually held on Oct. 30th of that year because of a Foreman injury. Eight days before the fight, the Heavyweight Champ was sparring with Bill McMurray, and McMurray accidentally elbowed Foreman in the right eye area. The wound required 11 stitches. The poster measures 14x22", with some slight staining and damaged corners noticed.
