Wood base measuring approximately 12x9x1" holds a 10x7" plate which bears the logos of sponsors Dodge, Chrysler Canada, and the 1990 All-Star Game, which was coincidentally played on Mario's home ice, the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh. Verbiage reads, "Mario Lemieux - Pittsburgh Penguins - Selected by the fans to start at Center for the Wales Conference NHL All-Star Team - January 21, 1990 - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Dodge NHL All-Star Fan Balloting."
