Hobby fresh and graded by PSA in January of 2023 comes this beautiful 1925 Exhibits Henry Louis Gehrig PSA VG-EX+ 4.5 rookie, with a story dating back to the 1920s. It was then that our consignor's father-in-law purchased this card at a Penny Arcade near his home in Ohio. He was a regular at the arcade and ended up amassing a large collection of Exhibits. Up until December of 2022, the collection was securely tucked away in the attic of his house and was discovered when our consignor's family sorted through his belongings. You will find the balance of the collection featured in the Lelands Spring Classic with Hall of Famers like Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, and Walter Johnson, along with larger lots of mid-tier stars. A total of (43) Lou Gehrig Exhibit rookies have been graded by PSA and this example is Pop 1 with just nine graded higher! When it comes to eye appeal, this example is off the charts with a clean surface and bright image of a swinging Gehrig against a stadium background.
