The brilliant Bobby Hull was known as "The Golden Jet," a nickname that referenced the Hall of Famer's blazing speed, rocket-like slap shot, and shinning, blond hair. Hull played for the Chicago Black Hawks, the Winnipeg Jets and the Hartford Whalers in an NHL and WHA career that lasted from 1957-58 through 1979-90. The left wing earned most of his fame as a Chicago Black Hawk, and he helped Chicago win the Stanley Cup in 1961, and he was a part of two WHA Championships with the Winnipeg Jets. He was a 2-time winner of the Hart Trophy as the NHL's MVP, and a 3-time winner of the Ross Trophy, as the NHL's point leader. Hull led the NHL in goals seven times. In the NHL and World Hockey Association combined statistics, Hull had an amazing 913 goals, 895 assists, and 1,808 points. The displayed polyester jersey was not worn by Hull, but it is a professional jersey made by the Chicago Black Hawks and not something that could be bought retail. A Wilson tag in the collar dates it to the mid-1970s and shows the size as "44." There is an all-original number "9." in black with red trim, on the back and on both sleeves. A multi-colored Black Hawk emblem is on each sleeve. On the chest is the iconic and marvelous multi-colored Black Hawk Native American image. This offering is an outstanding alternative to paying five figures for a jersey that Bobby Hull wore. This one is just as pretty. The jersey is in excellent condition. Again, this jersey was not worn by Hull, but it is of the same professional quality as jerseys worn by the Black Hawks.
