Beautiful 1997 display commemorates the 50th Anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking baseball's color line, centered by a genuine $5 gold coin issued by the United States Mint. Wood display box measures 7.75x5x1.5" with the Presidential Seal on top in gold gilt; latch opens to reveal three keepsakes, with the top liner reading "Jackie Robinson - Commemorative Coin Program - United States Mint." Included is the aforementioned gold piece (proof coin is 8.359 grams of gold - 1/4 ounce), along with a 1997 Topps chromium reprint of Robinson's 1952 card, and a 50th Anniversary pin. Also comes with limited edition patch - worn by all Major Leaguers that season - and original paperwork including Certificate of Authenticity. A couple of small nicks are present on the wood box, otherwise rates in NM-MT condition even over 25 years after its original issue.
