Personal check, dated October 9, 1972, signed by Jackie Robinson. PSA has encapsulated the check and certified the signature as "Authentic." This is one of the last checks ever signed by Robinson, as he died just fifteen days later at the age of fifty-three. The check, drawn on the Freedom National Bank of New York, is made out to "Cleaver Shuler" in the amount of $50.00. Signed "Jack R. Robinson" in blue ink (grading 9/10) at the base. Endorsed by the recipient on the reverse. This check originates directly from the Robinson family and is accompanied by a one-page letter of provenance signed by Rachel Robinson, Jackie's wife. The check (6x2.75") displays normal bank cancellation stamps on the front and reverse and is otherwise in Excellent to Mint condition.
