Rare early glove from the Hall of Fame career of pitcher Juan Marichal, dating from his early-1960s start with the San Francisco Giants. Magnificent use is displayed throughout this well-worn Wilson model A2000 glove; while the Wilson tag on the wrist strap is faded, it is present but the leather next to it is cracked and it looks like an attempt was made to fix it with glue. Marichal's number 27 is written in faded but legible black marker on the outside of the pinky. The glove comes from a relative of Bob Farley, a first baseman and outfielder who played on the Giants in 1961. The right-hander posted an impressive 243-142 record with a 2.89 career ERA over his 16 MLB seasons, enough to gain entry into Cooperstown.
