The 1954 Cleveland Indians won the American League pennant with a record of 111-43, a winning percentage of .721, still the highest single season winning percentage of AL history. Displayed is an Official American League Baseball (Harridge) with 29 signatures of the '54 Cleveland Indians. Signing on the sweet spot: Hall of Famer Al Lopez (Indians' manager), and Hall of Famer Hal Newhouser (7-2 in '54), Other Hall of Famers: Bob Feller (13-3), Larry Doby (the American League's first African American, who batted .300, with 32 homers and 126 RBIs), and Bob Lemon (23-7 on the pennant winners). Other notables: Mike Garcia (19-8), Bobby Avila (.342), Ray Narleski, Hank Majeski, Art Houtteman (15-7), Dave Pope, Dave Philley, Al Smith, and Jim Hegan. The baseball shows some darkening and is in overall very good condition. The signatures are written in blue ink from a ballpoint pen, and they average 7/10. The signed ball comes with a PSA/DNA Letter of Authenticity.
